Pale Painting (Scumble)

Scumble is the opposite of glaze in the deeper color is painted over using a lighter color or white. The first series were groups of ten paintings again divided vertically but in a progressively changing proportion. The two halves were painted in different versions of grays and greens, yellows, or of terre verte and neutral tint and painted over with lighter mixes. Other series of ten or twelve were a spectrum of various red colors or blue colors, scumbled over with white.
