Broken Color
For canvases of a larger format, 7 x 6 1/2' or 6 1/2 x 7' or even 6 1/2 x 16' also on a wall, I mixed the two complimentary colors (red and green, blue and orange, yellow and purple) in different amounts with white painting each brush stroke separately onto the surface. Here I usually started in the center of the canvas then worked all over it until it was covered.
