French Painting
In 1988 as I was still working with the Roman Paintings I was invited to paint in Lyon in France, another Roman city. Here the colors were more subdued, violet, more northern. Back in New York I chose square supports, linen or cotton and one on wood in both small and larger formats.
French Painting: Baraban, o/c, 58x58", 1991
French Painting: Fleurus, o/c, 58x58", 1998
