Ocean Sounds, E.A.T. USC, 1970
 Sitting on the beach I became aware of the directionality of sound as waves broke in front of me and to the sides. Closing my eyes it became a symphony I wanted to repeat, to share. I found ocean sounds on an 8 track tape, used it in the context of the E.A.T. exposition at USC where I could set it up in a room where transparent curtains subtly darkened the space. Low steel platforms found in the room were aligned to make a pier where visitors sat to enjoy the ocean sounds. Or they sat on the floor.
