Language Exchange III, Mitzpe-Ramon, 1995

This time Construction in Process met in Israel, in Mitzpe Ramon in the Negev desert. Knowing of the problems between the two peoples, actually both semitic, dividing the land of Palestine I thought I would approach them through language. I studied Arabic and Hebrew, mostly the alphabets eventually writing those on stones and arranging them on opposite sides of a large flat stone. I interviewed Palestinians and Jews making notes on what they told me about how to make coffee, to cook rice or fish and something about their current lives.
